I’m taking Penn State to win by double digits. The Nittany Lions ran for 304 yards against Buffalo and finished with 573 total yards, giving Rocco Becht plenty of support. A productive ground game at home is a good starting point against a Wisconsin offense that still has to prove itself in conference play.

Penn State’s defense was just as convincing last week. Buffalo managed 173 total yards and converted only one of 15 third downs, while 12 of its 15 drives lasted three plays or fewer. I do not expect the same dominance against Wisconsin, but that ability to get off the field supports the spread pick.

The Badgers have a legitimate answer in Colton Joseph. He threw for 362 yards and three touchdowns against Eastern Michigan, added 46 rushing yards and scored on the ground. Tyrell Henry caught 14 passes for 160 yards and a touchdown, giving Wisconsin a clear threat Penn State must account for.

Still, Wisconsin’s 54-point total included a fumble-recovery touchdown and a blocked-field-goal return score. The offense played well, but repeating that scoreboard output requires more than repeating its offensive performance. I prefer Penn State’s balance and defense to create separation at home.
