Ryan Wingo’s catch total is the shortest price on this Saturday college football player props card, while the touchdown bets come closer to even money. I prefer keeping them as separate wagers, since each depends on a different distribution of opportunities.

National Championship odds contender Texas does not need five Wingo catches to have a productive passing day. Cam Coleman and Emmett Mosley give Arch Manning other options, and a few downfield completions can produce plenty of yards without a high reception count for any one receiver.

Wingo had two catches for 22 yards in the Longhorns’ 30-6 win over UTSA. One game does not establish a trend, but it illustrates why I prefer the catch total to making a broader bet against his production. A big gain still counts as just one reception.
